I know, not a very creative title. xD Ohhhh well hahaha. Here's the cover shot for the Berserker Rikku shoot I had with a friend of mine at Youmacon 2012! The pics are coming out fantastically in my opinion. I really love how vivid the colors turned out! <333 This was definitely worth braving the 40-degrees-Fahrenheit weather. x3 Not to mention......I climbed a tree for some of these photos! Yes. Climbed a tree. I was like, 10 feet up there. Needed a leg up because I couldn't get up by myself in these paw shoes. And I was sort of terrified the whole time since I'm afraid of heights. But again, worth it! <3
Also, I guess I could call this one of my proudest works. Besides the wig, the base of the top and bottom (just undergarments lol), and the little slippers I built the boots over, the cosplay is made entirely from scratch. ^^ Definitely will be wearing it again for Colossalcon, after I make a new horn. The old one is fine and all but kinda really heavy. >< Next time I'll make it from foam instead of Model Magic with an aluminum foil armature. Wasn't my smartest move. xD Suffice to say though, I'm not sure I'll ever work with this type of fur-usage again.....it was tough and I stabbed myself a LOT. Hahaha, so much for ever making that Wolf Link quadsuit I'd been dreaming of. xD Not to say I won't do fur-trimmed stuff, that's all fine. Just no big paws and stuff like that. :3
Oh, and I loved the body paint! Random, but it went on really smoothly and didn't need any sort of setting spray to keep it from smudging. Even when I literally tried it wouldn't smear. Only came off with water, it was amazing. <3 And it smelled like coconuts, yummy!
I know all about the heavy horn! My berserker horn was made from much heavier materials then model magic and it gave me such a headache! That's something I want ot fix on mine too, lol. It may be heavy, but it looks great! Super awesome costume
I know right? I'm not sure whether it was my mistake to make the base out of aluminum foil but it would have fallen apart otherwise, hahaha. But yeah a friend of mine recommended using spray foam so I'm going to try re-making it with that. ^^ And thank you very much!
