It's been like.....over a year since I wrote anything here! Whoah! 'Bout time I change that and add a journal entry. xD

I've sure been busy since the new year started. Been busy trying to get my teaching degree lol, and been working on a lot of craft projects too. Not much cosplay-making this year, but that's for many reasons. One big one being that I've been doing freelance princessing at kid's parties and I've been busy making cheap-ish costumes to wear to these events. Thus far I've made Elsa and acquired a cheap Belle dress on eBay (that needs quite a few size alterations but is otherwise decent xD). Gonna work on making Tinkerbell, Cinderella, a land outfit for Ariel, and MAYBE Sofia. Excited that a Latin American princess is coming to Disney soon, as I look a lot like her and for once I'll be convincing as a Disney character! xDD

Moving on, CONS. Yes, cons. I'll be attending Colossalcon as per usual, not making any new cosplays for that I don't think. Or nothing fancy/expensive if I do. Same thing applies for Youmacon. I'll be attending as usual, but not much new in the way of costumes. If I really want I suppose I could wear some of my party princess outfits...... I suppose. xDD
But yes, main reason I'm skimping on new cosplays this year though, is.......COMIC-CON!! My friend and I managed to snag tickets! We really got lucky there. But we'll be flying to California in July and going to Comic-Con, as well as exploring LA and going to Disneyland. I'm so so so so so soooooooo excited lol~ I'm nervous because I've never been to Cali (or the Western U.S. at all) and I want everything to go just right. But I'm sure that if I watch myself but don't stress the details too much everything will click into place. We've already got our hotels, car rental, and flights booked. So at least that's out of the way! Just gotta get those Disneyland tickets and get our Fast Passes for the park. Other than that, just gotta stockpile moolah for food lol, and a little bit for souvenirs. Yaaaaaay~!!!

I'll try to keep up a little more on journals buuuut I've said this before so who knows. xD

I've kinda been neglecting to upload anything recently so I thought I'd put one of those "yeah, I'm still alive" journals out there. xD At midnight. xD

I haven't done much in the way of photoshoots and whatnot lately but have been wanting to post up more Ariel photos soooo hopefully that can happen soon-ish.... like at least within the month. lol I've been hard at work on doing my school stuff so that obviously takes priority and sometimes kicks out the time I've got for anything else. OTL

BUT! I have also been cutting fabric here and there for a character that I'm crossplaying at Colossalcon. I won't reveal what it is yet but you can bet it'll be a lot of fun. ^^ Also trying to scrap together a summer-ish Dragonair gijinka (another version aside from my original....which I have tons of ideas I wanna use eventually xD) annnd possibly In Summer! Anna. Did I mention I'll be working on her trademark outfit near the end of the year? Now I did lol. It will be soooo expensive if I can't find cheaper wool though. ;A; I already spent like $50 on nice velvet and embroidery stuff for her bodice. Well, here's at least hoping that it turns out nice. SUPER excited about making it~ But that's for later. Right now I'll focus on Colossal stuff. And then I'll focus on my secret cosplay that I'm making for Youmacon for my 10-year cosplay anniversary. Insanely excited about this one too~ <3 <3

So yep. Still alive. Trying to do some cos-stuff. Mostly swallowed up by school. xD I shall prevail!!!!
..............and I hope to journal at least on a monthly basis or so if I can. Ciao!

Yes, it's going really fun so far. Okay, work is a bit grueling but it's what I gotta do. Plus, it's money so hey I shouldn't complain too much. >w<

In terms of at-home stuff? I'm COMPLETELY surrounded in Korra madness. Well actually, Avatar madness in general. <3 The new series reminded me just how much I love these toons. ^^ I re-watched the whole A:TLA series over again and then I watched Korra again. And now I'm repeating! xD Hence my Avatar nail art (Korra is sooooo next) and the fan art comic I did. :3 I have many more ideas for Avatar fan art from both series so........chances are I'll be drawing some more within the next couple of weeks.

And then there's this week! Yay for Independence Day!!! And yay for being an adult who's allowed to buy colorful explosives to celebrate. ;D Anyway. I'm having friends over tomorrow and they're spending the night. Tomorrow night I'm gonna set off the fireworks that I buy and then the following night we're going to go see some big ones......somewhere. Eh, we'll do a little research since we tend to change it up each year. xD Then I gotta pretty much shower and go straight to bed when I get home due to work the next morning. Good news about that though is I should be getting a much bigger paycheck in two weeks.

Yup that's about it, methinks.

Oh, and yay for the U.S. and celebrating centuries of freedom and democracy!! ^^
